Paper 46 Overview: The Local System Headquarters

Jerusem is the headquarters of our local system called Satania. It is a beautiful world with many special features that make it different from earth. The planet glows with a peaceful light and has a perfect balance of nature and beauty all the time.

Jerusem has various areas where different groups live and work together. These include areas for angels, different kinds of Sons of God, and places for humans who have moved on from earth after death. Jerusem is organized in a way that allows all different types of beings to live and work together smoothly.

Jerusem is the average capital of a local system but has had some unusual experiences. The system has gone through some difficult times, including the Lucifer rebellion and Michael's life on earth (Urantia). Even with these past problems, the system is now being run very well and is becoming more like the heaven that many religious people on earth imagine.

Jerusem is divided into one thousand sections going around the planet and ten thousand zones going up and down. The planet has seven main capitals and seventy smaller centers for running things. The System Sovereign visits each of the seven main capitals at least once a year.

The measurement system on Jerusem is different from earth's. A Jerusem day equals about three earth days, and their year has one hundred Jerusem days. The temperature is kept at about 70 degrees during full light and drops to about 50 degrees during light recession, which is their version of nighttime.

Jerusem doesn't have mountains, earthquakes, or rain like earth does. Instead, it has beautiful highlands and other unique landscape features with many small lakes but no large oceans or rivers. Plants and other living things get the moisture they need through an underground water system.

The air on Jerusem contains three gases, similar to earth's air but with an extra gas that special beings called morontia creatures need to breathe. People can travel around Jerusem at different speeds using energy streams that circle the planet. There are also beautiful gardens and perfect harmony between all forms of life.

Jerusem receives broadcasts from higher realms like Paradise, Havona, and the superuniverse. These messages are displayed where all types of beings can see them. For humans who have moved on from earth, listening to these universe broadcasts is one of the most interesting activities they can do.

The broadcast station on Jerusem is surrounded by a huge meeting place that can seat over five billion beings. This is where people gather to hear news from all parts of the universe. The station sends messages to all the planets in the system from the opposite pole of Jerusem.

Large parts of Jerusem are living areas for residents, while other sections are for running the system. The system supervises 619 inhabited worlds, 56 training worlds, and Jerusem itself. These areas are arranged in different shapes to help organize the planet.

Jerusem has circles for non-native residents, squares for system leaders, rectangles for local beings, and triangles for local management. The system also has beautiful areas for the Material Sons of God, who are permanent citizens. Jerusem has material, morontia, and spiritual aspects, making it comfortable for all types of beings.

The living areas for major groups of universe beings are called Jerusem circles. These groups include the Sons of God, angels and higher spirits, Universe Aids, Master Physical Controllers, ascending mortals (like humans who have died), courtesy colonies, and the Corps of the Finality.

Each circle has seven levels that go up in steps, so each outer circle can see over the inner ones. The circles have beautiful walls made of crystal with gates made of pearl crystals. At the center of the Sons' area is the Michael memorial, which honors Michael's life on earth.

The executive-administrative divisions of the system are located in one thousand departmental squares. Each of these squares is divided into one hundred subdivisions, and each of those has ten smaller groups. These thousand squares are organized into ten main departments that handle different aspects of running the system.

These ten departments cover areas like physical maintenance, solving problems, local and planetary affairs, education, scientific progress, morontia affairs, spirit activities, helping people move up through the universe, and philosophy. The buildings where these activities happen are transparent, so student visitors can see what's going on.

The one thousand rectangles of Jerusem are home to the lower native life of the planet, with the spornagia headquarters at the center. Spornagia are special beings who take care of the gardens and landscapes of Jerusem. They are very good at making the land beautiful and using animals and machines to help in their work.

Spornagia are interesting creatures who live very long lives but don't have survivor souls like humans do. However, they do develop individual personalities and can be reborn into new bodies when they get old. They are loyal, intelligent beings that are something like a combination of a faithful horse and an affectionate dog with intelligence greater than a chimpanzee.

The routine local affairs of Jerusem are handled by one hundred triangles. These areas are clustered around ten beautiful buildings that house the local government. The triangles are surrounded by a display showing the history of the system, but part of this display has been erased because of the Lucifer rebellion.

When Satania can fully rejoin the constellation, the isolated worlds like earth will be brought back into the system circuits. Eventually, the judgment of Lucifer and his followers will be completed, and the system will be restored. Rebels and rebellion will come to an end, as the wages of deliberately chosen evil is death.
