Paper 8 Overview: The Infinite Spirit

The Infinite Spirit is the Third Person of the Trinity who came into being when God the Father and God the Son joined together to create a partner. This Spirit completes the divine family and works with the Father and Son in creating and running the universe. The Infinite Spirit is just as eternal and important as the Father and Son.

The Spirit has many special jobs in the universe, including being the God of Action who brings the Father and Son's plans to life. The Spirit shows mercy to all beings in the universe and helps humans and angels understand God's love. The Spirit surrounds everyone with a loving presence that guides them on their spiritual journey.

Long ago in eternity, God the Father had a perfect thought which found perfect expression in God the Son. This perfect partnership between Father and Son created a desire for someone to help them express and act on their ideas together. They made an eternal agreement to work together as partners.

At the exact moment when God the Father and God the Son thought about creating a helper together, the Infinite Spirit immediately came into existence. All three divine beings—Father, Son, and Spirit—have always existed together. They have no beginning and no end. They are different from each other but work together perfectly.

The Infinite Spirit completes the divine family, making the circle of divine personalities perfect. When the Spirit appeared, the stage was set for the grand adventure of creating the universe. The first thing the Infinite Spirit did was to recognize his divine parents and pledge loyalty to them both.

When the Infinite Spirit joined with the Father and Son, the Paradise Trinity was formed. The Spirit then acted as the "God of Action" who made things happen in the universe. The Spirit created the central universe called Havona, working together with the Father and Son. The Spirit helps run the universe and makes sure the Father and Son's plans are carried out.

The Infinite Spirit is completely one with the Universal Father and the Eternal Son. The Spirit perfectly shows the nature of both the Father and the Original Son. The Spirit has many titles, including the Universal Spirit, the Divine Executive, and the Infinite Mind.

The Infinite Spirit shows mercy to all beings just like the Eternal Son does. The Spirit helps everyone in the universe understand God's love and mercy. The Spirit carries out acts of kindness that help people better understand God's goodness. The Spirit takes the truth and beauty from the Father and Son and makes them real in people's lives.

The Infinite Spirit puts into action the first perfect plan created by the Father-Son partnership. The Spirit came into being at the same time as the central creation, and only this central creation has existed eternally among all universes. After the Third Source appeared, the Father no longer directly participates in universe creation but works through his partners.

The Spirit is committed to helping the Father and Son carry out their plan to help all truth-loving souls in time and space reach Paradise. The Spirit offers all his resources to make this plan work. The Spirit is the only way to know about the Father-Son partnership. Ascending beings must first discover the Spirit before they can find the Son, who then leads them to the Father.

The Infinite Spirit creates a spiritual universe where the Son's words explain God's thoughts and show the mercy of the Creators. The Spirit and his helpers work on this great stage to show the patience, mercy, and love of the divine parents to their intelligent children. The Spirit's main purpose is to serve and minister to others.

If God is love and the Son is mercy, then the Spirit is ministry—showing divine love and endless mercy to all thinking beings. The Spirit carries out the combined love of the Father and Son. The Spirit comes very close to beings on worlds like earth through helpers and angels who guide people through life. The Spirit ministers to everyone, representing both the Father and Son while also acting in his own right.

The most notable quality of the Infinite Spirit is being everywhere at once. This all-pervading spirit is present throughout all universes, like a universal divine mind. Both the Second and Third Persons of Deity are represented on all worlds by their ever-present spirits.

In the Bible, the term "Spirit of God" is sometimes used to mean both the Infinite Spirit in Paradise and the Creative Spirit in our local universe. The Holy Spirit is the spiritual circuit of the Creative Daughter of the Paradise Infinite Spirit. The Holy Spirit is limited to each local universe, but the Infinite Spirit is present everywhere. All these spiritual influences work together as one in our minds and souls.

Even though the Infinite Spirit is spread throughout the universe, he is still a real divine person. The Spirit is not just a force or power but has a true personality like the Father and Son. The Infinite Spirit is a complete and perfect personality, equal to the Universal Father and the Eternal Son.

The Spirit has a mind that can understand everything, even the deep things of God. The Spirit has will and makes choices about how to give gifts to different people. The Spirit can feel love and sorrow. The Spirit speaks to people and helps them in personal ways. In the Spirit, the Father and Son are perfectly united, working together to create and control the universe.
