Paper 42 Overview: Energy—Mind and Matter

Energy and force are the foundation of the universe and are controlled by the Universal Father. This vast stream of energy has never failed or stopped, showing the presence of the Universal Absolute. The control of power in the universe is modified by the decisions of the Eternal Son and the Conjoint Actor, but all force-energy remains under the ultimate control of God.

The foundation of the universe is material because energy is the basis of all existence, and pure energy is controlled by the Universal Father. The flow of energy from Paradise has never stopped, proving the existence of the Universal Absolute. The control of universe power is modified by the actions of the Eternal Son and the Conjoint Actor, but all force remains under the ultimate control of God.

Matter and energy are just different forms of the same cosmic reality and are inherent in the Universal Father. The ultimaton, the first measurable form of energy, has Paradise as its center. There is a form of energy in universal space that is not yet known on earth, and when this is discovered, scientists will feel like they have partially solved the mystery of matter.

Energy comes from Paradise and is created by God and his helpers. These energy forms are imperishable and indestructible, although they can be transformed endlessly. Energy, while eternal, is not infinite and always responds to the grasp of Infinity, eventually returning to Paradise.

It is hard to find the right words to describe the different levels of force and energy. In this paper, "energy" is used for all types of motion and potential, "force" for pregravity energy, and "power" for postgravity energy. There is a suggested classification for cosmic force and universe power.

Space potency is the first type of energy, followed by primordial force, emergent energies, universe power, Havona energy, transcendental energy, and monota. Each type has different qualities and functions in the universe, showing how energy evolves from its simplest form to more complex forms.

Matter in all universes except the central universe is identical. Matter's physical properties depend on the movement of its parts, their number and size, their distance from the central body, and other forces not yet discovered on earth. There are ten main divisions of matter across the universe.

These divisions range from ultimatonic matter (the smallest particles) to collapsed matter (found in dead suns). This classification is about matter's organization rather than how it appears to beings, and it doesn't include pre-energy stages or eternal materializations on Paradise.

Light, heat, electricity, magnetism, chemism, energy, and matter are all the same thing in origin, nature, and destiny. We don't fully understand all the changes physical energy can go through as it appears in different forms throughout the universes. Energy can reappear in later universes as different forms of matter.

The power centers and physical controllers can control energy in its early stages by manipulating ultimatons. Gravity acts on power lanes and energy channels, but physical controllers have a negative relation to gravity because of their antigravity abilities. Cold and other influences organize ultimatons into electrons, while heat measures electronic activity.

In the superuniverse of Orvonton, there are one hundred octaves of wave energy. Of these, sixty-four are wholly or partially recognized on earth. The sun's rays make up four octaves, with visible rays being just one octave in this series, followed by ultraviolet rays and X-rays.

Wave-energy can be classified into ten groups, from infraultimatonic rays to Hertzian waves used for broadcasting on earth. The human eye can only see one octave out of these ten phases – the whole light of ordinary sunlight. What appears as wave phenomena happens because of resistance and the pull of gravity on energy particles.

When universal force becomes organized into matter, it forms into masses with definite dimensions and established weight. Gravity becomes fully operative when atoms form, and pre-atomic matter becomes slightly responsive to gravity when activated by X-rays and similar energies.

Ultimatons function by mutual attraction and respond only to the circular Paradise-gravity pull. Each electron contains exactly one hundred ultimatons, and the loss of even one would destroy the electron's identity. Ultimatons do not orbit inside electrons but spread or cluster based on their spinning speeds.

All matter forms like a solar system, with a stable, nuclear portion at the center. This center has a threefold possibility of showing itself, and around it, energy units whirl in orbits similar to planets around a sun. Within atoms, electrons circle the central proton with comparatively the same space as planets have in a solar system.

The positive particles of radium fly off into space at the rate of ten thousand miles per second. In local universes, there are exactly one hundred different types of atoms, though not every world will show all one hundred elements at the surface. The stability of atoms depends on the number of electrically inactive neutrons in the central body.

While gravity helps hold together tiny atomic energy systems, there is also a powerful unknown energy present. This universal influence fills all the space within an atom and doesn't always follow the laws of positive and negative attraction. The charged protons and uncharged neutrons of the nucleus are held together by the mesotron, a particle 180 times heavier than an electron.

The mesotron keeps the nucleus together by making protons and neutrons constantly change places. In a tiny fraction of a second, a nuclear particle changes from a charged proton to an uncharged neutron, happening so fast that the electric charge can't break apart the nucleus. But this doesn't explain how protons stick to protons or neutrons to neutrons.

Religion isn't the only field that tends to make strong claims without evidence; natural philosophy (science) does this too. There is a sevenfold pattern in the universe that reminds us of spiritual origins, despite the decimal system being more common in energy and matter. In the chemical domain, similar properties repeat in groups of seven when elements are arranged by atomic weight.

But not all scientific theories are valid. For example, the hypothetical ether was created to explain space phenomena that scientists didn't understand. Physical stability combined with biological adaptability exists in nature only because of the wisdom of the Master Architects of creation.

The endless sweep of cosmic reality suggests certain relationship changes in the nonspiritual realities of the First Source and Center. This eternal cycle of energy is absolute but is always expanding with time-space meanings as energy-matter is increasingly controlled by living and divine spirit through mind.

Universal nonspiritual energies are reassociated in living systems of non-Creator minds on various levels. These include preadjutant-spirit minds (mechanical, nonteachable), adjutant-spirit minds (teachable, from animal to superhuman), evolving morontia minds (expanding consciousness in local universe ascending careers), and cosmic mind (sevenfold diversified mind of time and space).

When evaluating mind, remember that the universe is neither mechanical nor magical but a creation of mind and a mechanism of law. While natural laws seem to operate in both physical and spiritual realms, they are really one. The First Source and Center appears in universes outside Havona only as pure energy and pure spirit.

Mechanisms don't completely control the universe; it is mind planned, mind made, and mind administered. Motion and universe gravitation are two aspects of the time-space mechanism. Spirit-reality levels are recognized by their spirit content, and spirituality is measured inversely to the linear-gravity response, which is a measure of nonspirit energy.

The evolution of mechanisms shows the presence and dominance of creative mind. The ability of the human intellect to create automatic mechanisms demonstrates the superiority of human mind as the dominant influence on the planet. Mind always reaches out toward creation, discovery, exploration, formulation, attainment, achievement, and accomplishment.

Mind is always creative and can produce suitable bodies for living creatures. Even spirit beings have forms, and these spirit forms are real. On a material world, we think of a body as having a spirit, but in higher realms, they see spirit as having a body. The material eyes are truly the windows of the spirit-born soul.
