Paper 56 Overview: Universal Unity

God is unity, and the universe of universes exemplifies a vast integrated mechanism controlled by one infinite mind. The physical, intellectual, and spiritual domains of creation are divinely correlated, allowing finite evolutionary creatures to ascend to Paradise in accordance with the Universal Father's mandate for perfection. All creation is unified through the plans and administration of the Architects of the Master Universe, though time-space mortals may perceive disharmony due to their limited perspective.

Those beings with broader cosmic perspective can better perceive the underlying unity that permeates apparent diversity. They can detect the basic unity beneath creative diversity and discover the divine oneness that overspreads the functioning plurality. This ability to recognize patterns of unified purpose amid seeming complexity allows higher beings to understand the single divine purpose exhibited throughout the manifold manifestations of universal creative energy.

God is unity, and Deity is universally coordinated throughout creation. The universe of universes functions as one vast integrated mechanism under the absolute control of one infinite mind. The physical, intellectual, and spiritual domains of universal creation are divinely correlated, which enables finite evolutionary creatures to ascend to Paradise in fulfillment of the Universal Father's command: "Be you perfect, even as I am perfect."

The diverse levels of creation are unified through the plans and administration of the Architects of the Master Universe. To the limited minds of time-space mortals, the universe may present problems and apparent disharmony, suggesting a lack of effective coordination. However, those beings who can observe wider stretches of universal phenomena and who are more experienced in detecting basic unity underlying creative diversity can better perceive the divine oneness that overspreads all functioning plurality and can discover the divine and single purpose exhibited in these many manifestations of universal creative energy.

The physical or material creation is not infinite, yet it is perfectly coordinated with all force, energy, and power originating from a single source. The seven superuniverses appear dual in nature, the central universe is triune, but Paradise is of single constitution. Paradise functions as the actual source of all material universes—past, present, and future—though this cosmic derivation is an eternity event that does not occur in measurable time. These derivations appear to be orphaned in time and space but emerge through the Unqualified Absolute, their ultimate repository in space and regulator in time.

The Unqualified Absolute upholds the physical universe, while the Deity Absolute motivates the overcontrol of all material reality, with both Absolutes functionally unified by the Universal Absolute. This cohesive correlation of the material universe is best understood by observing how gravity draws all material reality toward nether Paradise. Pure energy and pure spirit are wholly preresponsive to gravity, yet these primal forces are personally controlled by the Universal Father, causing all gravity to center in his personal presence. In the Universal Father, all things are one—they must be unified—because God is one and his personality is absolutely unified.

The Thought-Father expresses spirit through the Word-Son and achieves reality expansion through Paradise into the far-flung material universes. The spiritual expressions of the Eternal Son are correlated with material levels through the Infinite Spirit's functions. Through the Spirit's mind ministry and physical acts, the spiritual realities of Deity and the material effects of Deity are coordinated with each other.

Mind is the functional gift of the Infinite Spirit, therefore infinite in potential and universal in how it is given. The original thought of the Universal Father becomes eternal in two expressions: the Isle of Paradise and the Eternal Son. This duality makes the Infinite Spirit, the mind God, inevitable as mind becomes the essential channel between spiritual and material realities. The material evolutionary creature can understand the indwelling spirit only through mind's ministry. This infinite and universal mind extends from the primitive adjutant spirits to the magnificent mind of a universe executive, all unified under the Seven Master Spirits and correlated with the all-embracing mind of the Infinite Spirit.

Just as universal mind gravity centers in the Paradise presence of the Infinite Spirit, universal spirit gravity centers in the Paradise presence of the Eternal Son. The Universal Father is one, but to time-space beings, he appears in the dual forms of pure energy and pure spirit. Paradise spirit realities are likewise unified, but throughout time and space, this single spirit reveals itself in the dual phenomena of the personalities and emanations of the Eternal Son and the Infinite Spirit, plus the Father's bestowal of Thought Adjusters and other prepersonal spirit entities.

No matter what level of universe activities you encounter spiritual phenomena or contact spirit beings, you can know they all originate from the God who is spirit through the ministry of the Spirit Son and the Infinite Mind Spirit. This far-reaching spirit functions on evolutionary worlds through local universe headquarters, from which the Holy Spirit and Spirit of Truth, along with the adjutant mind-spirits, reach the lower evolving levels of material minds. While mind is more unified at higher levels, spirit ministry to evolving worlds is more directly unified through the Divine Ministers who preside over local universes, all perfectly correlated with the Paradise gravity circuit of the Eternal Son, where final unification of all time-space spirit manifestations occurs.

The Universal Father is a divinely unified personality, and all his ascendant children carried to Paradise will likewise become fully unified personalities. Personality inherently reaches out to unify all its constituent realities, and the infinite personality of the First Source and Center unifies all seven constituent Absolutes of Infinity. The personality of mortal humans, being a direct bestowal from the Universal Father, possesses the potential to unify the constituent factors of the mortal creature, demonstrating its high and exclusive source and connection with the Father through the personality circuit.

Despite God's many manifestations from the Sevenfold up through supremacy and ultimacy to God the Absolute, the personality circuit centered on Paradise provides complete unification of all these diverse expressions of divine personality for all creature personalities. To personality, God cannot be plural—he is One, the Father to each of his creatures. No child can have more than one father, so philosophically and cosmically, we may conceive of multiple Deities and Trinities functioning at different levels, but in the personal experience of worship, God is one. This unified and personal Deity is our Paradise parent, God the Father, the bestower and conservator of all personalities from mortal humans to the Eternal Son.

The oneness or indivisibility of Paradise Deity is existential and absolute. There are three eternal personalizations of Deity—the Universal Father, the Eternal Son, and the Infinite Spirit—but in the Paradise Trinity, they are actually one Deity, undivided and indivisible. From the original Paradise-Havona level of existential reality, two subabsolute levels have developed, where the Father, Son, and Spirit engage in creating many personal associates and subordinates.

Deity currently functions in the superuniverses through the Supreme Creators—the local universe Creator Sons and Spirits, the superuniverse Ancients of Days, and the Seven Master Spirits of Paradise. These beings constitute the first three levels of God the Sevenfold leading toward the Universal Father, and this domain is coordinated on the first level of experiential deity in the evolving Supreme Being. On Paradise and in the central universe, Deity unity exists naturally, but throughout the evolving universes of time and space, Deity unity is an achievement that must be realized over time.

When the three eternal persons of Deity function as undivided Deity in the Paradise Trinity, they achieve perfect unity, and when they create offspring, these Paradise progeny exhibit the characteristic unity of divinity. This divinity of purpose shown by the Supreme Creators and Rulers of time-space domains produces a unifying power potential of experiential sovereignty, which creates a reality tension that can only be resolved through adequate unification with the experiential personality realities of experiential Deity.

The personality realities of the Supreme Being come from the Paradise Deities and unite with the power of the Almighty Supreme on the pilot world of outer Havona. The Supreme existed in Havona as a spirit person before the seven superuniverses were created, but the evolution of the Almighty's power through diverse divinity synthesis in the evolving universes created a new power presence that coordinated with the spiritual person of the Supreme through the Supreme Mind. Material-minded creatures can understand Deity unity only as it evolves in this power-personality synthesis, as they must evolve recognition of a God of love through truth, beauty, and goodness before progressing to comprehend the Supreme.

The steady progress of evolution in time-space universes is accompanied by ever-enlarging revelations of Deity to all intelligent creatures. Each local enhancement of evolutionary progress signals corresponding expansions of deity function in that creative unit, and these expanded deity manifestations extend to all other sectors of creation. Each new domain of realized and attained evolution constitutes a new and enlarged revelation of experiential Deity to the universe of universes.

As a local universe and its components settle in light and life, God the Sevenfold becomes increasingly manifest. Evolution begins on a planet with the Creator Son-Creative Spirit association in control, and as a system settles in light and life, this Son-Spirit liaison reaches full function. When an entire constellation is settled, the second phase of God the Sevenfold becomes more active in that realm, and the completion of a local universe's administrative evolution brings new ministrations from the superuniverse Master Spirits and an expanding revelation of God the Supreme. Ascending mortals can experience the impersonal presence of successive Deity levels long before they become spiritual enough to recognize these Deities as persons.

The Supreme Being performs three essential functions in mortal experience: first, he unifies time-space divinity as God the Sevenfold; second, he represents the maximum of Deity that finite creatures can actually comprehend; and third, he provides mortals with the only avenue to approach the transcendental experience of relating to absonite mind, eternal spirit, and Paradise personality. Through their diverse experiences in the universes, finaliters come to understand the time-space divinity of God the Sevenfold unifying in the Supreme.

Finaliters, who were born in local universes, nurtured in superuniverses, and trained in the central universe, embody the full potential for comprehending time-space divinity unifying in the Supreme. They serve in superuniverses other than their birth universe, accumulating experiences until they encompass the fullness of the sevenfold diversity of creature experience. Through their indwelling Adjusters, finaliters find the Universal Father, but it is through these experiential techniques that they truly come to know the Supreme Being. They are destined to serve and reveal this Supreme Deity in the future universes of outer space.

The Unqualified Absolute and the Deity Absolute are unified in the Universal Absolute, with all three Absolutes coordinated in the Ultimate, conditioned in the Supreme, and modified in time-space through God the Sevenfold. On subinfinite levels, there are three Absolutes, but in infinity, they appear as one. Similarly, on Paradise there are three personalizations of Deity, but in the Trinity, they are one unified entity.

The primary philosophical question of the master universe concerns whether the Absolute existed before the Trinity or if the Trinity preceded the Absolute. Creature minds eventually conclude that the Paradise Trinity forever stands in finality, eternity, supremacy, and ultimacy—effectively absolute for all practical purposes of comprehension. When we desire a personal concept of the otherwise impersonal Absolute, we return to our ideals of the Universal Father, recognizing that while the Eternal Son is the Absolute Person, he is not the personalization of the Absolute in an experiential sense. God the Father is discernible on all levels from finite to infinite, though only the Eternal Son and Infinite Spirit know him as an infinity.

As worlds settled in light and life progress through evolutionary stages, they gradually comprehend God the Sevenfold, while in the seventh stage, mortals grow in knowledge of God the Supreme and begin to discern the overshadowing ministry of God the Ultimate. Throughout this period, the primary pursuit of advancing mortals is a better understanding and fuller realization of comprehensible elements of Deity: truth, beauty, and goodness. This represents humanity's effort to discern God in mind, matter, and spirit.

Philosophy is somewhat graspable, and divinity is comprehended through worship, social service, and personal spiritual experience, but the pursuit of beauty—cosmology—is too often limited to studying human artistic endeavors. True beauty involves unifying contrasts, with supreme beauty found in the drama unifying Creator and creature—when humans find God and God finds humans. Truth forms the basis of science and philosophy, beauty sponsors art and meaningful rhythms of experience, and goodness encompasses ethics, morality, and religion. Love, which combines these qualities, represents humanity's perception of God as spirit Father. As mortals on worlds in the seventh stage of light and life have learned, love is the greatest thing in the universe because God is love.
