Paper 31 Overview: The Corps of the Finality

The Corps of the Finality represents the present known destination for ascending mortals who have fused with their Thought Adjusters. This corps consists of six primary groups: Havona Natives, Gravity Messengers, Glorified Mortals, Adopted Seraphim, Glorified Material Sons, and Glorified Midway Creatures. All members are received in equality, but their individuality and personal identity remain distinct. The finaliters serve throughout the universe and are self-governing, with no outside influence affecting their policies.

Their future destiny remains somewhat mysterious, though they appear to be preparing for service in the universes of outer space that are now organizing beyond the borders of the present creation. While the present universe age evolves and brings the Supreme Being into greater actualization, the finaliters accumulate experiential wisdom that may be crucial for bringing God's experience to these outer realms that will come into existence without having participated in the evolution of the Supreme.

The Corps of Mortal Finaliters represents the known destination of ascending Adjuster-fused mortals of time. However, there are other groups also assigned to this corps. The primary finaliter corps is composed of six specific groups of glorified beings: Havona Natives, Gravity Messengers, Glorified Mortals, Adopted Seraphim, Glorified Material Sons, and Glorified Midway Creatures.

These six groups of glorified beings compose this unique body of eternal destiny. While the Corps of the Mortal Finality is mobilizing on Paradise, they extensively minister to the universes of space and administer worlds settled in light and life. Their future destination is believed to be the now-organizing universes of outer space, though this remains conjecture. All ascendant creatures admitted to this corps are received in equality, though this equality does not remove individuality or destroy personal identity.

Many Havona natives who serve as teachers in the pilgrim-training schools of the central universe become greatly attached to ascending mortals and intrigued with the future work of the Corps of Mortal Finaliters. On Paradise, a registry for Havona volunteers is maintained by an associate of Grandfanda, and today millions of Havona natives are on this waiting list. These perfect beings of direct divine creation provide great assistance to the Mortal Corps of Finality and offer the viewpoint of one born in perfection and divine repleteness.

Havona natives must achieve certain experiential developments in connection with evolutionary beings to create receptivity for the bestowal of a fragment of the Universal Father's spirit. The Mortal Finaliter Corps only has as permanent members those beings fused with the spirit of the First Source and Center. Havona inhabitants are received into the corps at a ratio of one per thousand, and they take the same oath as others, becoming forever attached to the corps. They follow their assigned company with great enthusiasm, as the possibility of becoming a finaliter is one of the supreme adventures for these perfect races.

Whenever and wherever Gravity Messengers are functioning, the finaliters are in command. All Gravity Messengers are under the exclusive jurisdiction of Grandfanda and are assigned only to the primary Corps of the Finality. They are invaluable to finaliters now and will be even more serviceable in the eternal future, as no other group of intelligent creatures possesses such a personalized messenger corps able to transcend time and space.

Gravity Messengers come from Divinington and are modified and personalized Adjusters. They are highly personal beings who are divine, intelligent, and touchingly understanding of others. They appear able to utilize all energies, circuits, and even gravity itself in their work. Finaliters of the mortal corps cannot defy time and space, but they have associated with them these spirit personalities who can. Gravity Messengers and glorified mortal finaliters develop a deep affection for one another, sharing a connection to the Universal Father—one as a direct personalization of a fragment of the Father, the other as a creature personality fused with such a fragment.

Ascendant Adjuster-fused mortals compose the bulk of the primary Corps of the Finality. Together with adopted and glorified seraphim, they usually constitute 990 in each finaliter company. The proportion of mortals and angels varies, though mortals far outnumber seraphim. The other beings—Havona natives, glorified Material Sons, glorified midway creatures, Gravity Messengers, and the unknown member—make up only one percent of the corps.

Those of Uversa do not know the "finality destiny" of the ascendant mortals. Currently, they reside on Paradise and temporarily serve in the Corps of Light and Life, but such extensive training must be designed to qualify them for even greater responsibilities. Three significant facts are noted about these mortals: they progress through spirit classifications as they advance through the universes; though they have achieved apparent perfection, they have not reached finality of spirit status; and though they possess experiential knowledge of every step of reality and philosophy of intelligent existence, they are still being trained for future service, suggesting an even greater destiny awaits them.

Many faithful seraphic guardians of mortals are permitted to travel through the ascendant career with their human wards. Many of these guardian angels, after becoming Father fused, join their subjects in taking the finaliter oath of eternity and accepting the destiny of their mortal associates. Angels who pass through the ascending experience of mortal beings may share the destiny of human nature.

They may equally and eternally be mustered into this Corps of the Finality. Large numbers of adopted and glorified seraphim are attached to the various nonmortal finaliter corps. This arrangement allows angels who have guided mortals to continue with them in eternal service, further strengthening the bonds between different orders of personality in God's creation.

There is provision in the universes of time and space whereby the Adamic citizens of local systems, when delayed in receiving planetary assignment, may petition for release from permanent-citizenship status. If granted, they join the ascending pilgrims on the universe capitals and proceed toward Paradise and the Corps of the Finality. When an advanced evolutionary world reaches the later eras of light and life, Material Sons may choose to receive Adjusters and embark on the evolutionary course of universe ascent.

Certain Material Sons have partially failed in their mission as biological accelerators, as Adam did on Urantia. In such cases, they must take the natural course of the realm's peoples, receive Adjusters, pass through death, and progress by faith through the ascendant regime to Paradise and the Corps of the Finality. These Material Sons are not found in many finaliter companies, but when present, they add great potential for higher service and are invariably chosen as leaders. If both partners of an Edenic pair are in the same group, they usually function as one personality and are far more successful in the adventure of trinitizing than ascendant mortals.

On many planets, midway creatures are produced in large numbers, but they seldom remain on their native world after it is settled in light and life. Soon thereafter, they are released from permanent-citizenship status and begin their ascension to Paradise. They pass through the morontia worlds, the superuniverse, and Havona with the mortals of time and space.

The midway creatures from various universes differ greatly in their origin and nature, but all are destined for one of the Paradise finality corps. The secondary midwayers are all eventually Adjuster fused and are mustered into the mortal corps. Many finaliter companies have one of these glorified beings in their group, adding diversity and special abilities to the corps.

At present, every finaliter company numbers 999 personalities of oath status as permanent members. The vacant place is occupied by the chief of attached Evangels of Light assigned on any single mission. These beings are only transient members of the corps and do not take the finaliter oath. Any celestial personality assigned to the service of any finaliter corps is called an Evangel of Light.

These beings, though subject to the corps organization, are not permanently attached. This group may include Solitary Messengers, supernaphim, seconaphim, Paradise Citizens, or their trinitized offspring—any being required for a specific finaliter assignment. Whether the corps will have these beings attached to their eternal mission remains unknown. As currently constituted, the Mortal Corps of the Finality has just six classes of permanent members, and finaliters often speculate about the identity of their future comrades, especially who might fill the seventh group.

Part of the perfected mortal's experience on Paradise as a finaliter involves attempting to comprehend the nature and function of more than one thousand groups of transcendental supercitizens of Paradise. These are eventuated beings of absonite attributes. In their association with these superpersonalities, the ascendant finaliters receive great assistance from numerous orders of transcendental ministers who guide them in understanding their new Paradise brethren.

The entire order of Transcendentalers lives in the west of Paradise in a vast area they exclusively occupy. In discussing Transcendentalers, we are restricted not only by the limitations of human comprehension but also by the mandates governing revelations about Paradise personalities. These beings have nothing to do with the affairs of Havona or the seven superuniverses; they are concerned only with the superadministration of the master universe. Mortals who attain Paradise frequently associate with Transcendentalers, but their first serious contact occurs when they stand in the finaliter receiving circle as the Trinity oath of eternity is administered.

The Architects of the Master Universe are the governing corps of the Paradise Transcendentalers. This corps numbers 28,011 personalities with master minds, superb spirits, and supernal absonites. The presiding officer, the senior Master Architect, is the coordinating head of all Paradise intelligences below the level of Deity. These Master Architects exist in seven levels of the absonite, classified according to their function and responsibility.

The Paradise level has only the senior or first-eventuated Architect who coordinates Paradise and its twenty-one associated worlds. The Havona level has three master planners who coordinate the billion perfect spheres of the central universe. The superuniverse level embraces the seven Master Architects of the seven superuniverses. The remaining four levels contain increasing numbers of Architects (70, 490, 3,430, and 24,010) who may be planning the four levels of outer space universes that are now organizing beyond our present creation. These Architects contribute technical approval for Creator Sons to organize local universes and have liaison with the grand universe Supreme Creators.

The senior Master Architect oversees the seven Corps of the Finality: the Corps of Mortal Finaliters, the Corps of Paradise Finaliters, the Corps of Trinitized Finaliters, the Corps of Conjoint Trinitized Finaliters, the Corps of Havona Finaliters, the Corps of Transcendental Finaliters, and the Corps of Unrevealed Sons of Destiny. Each corps has a presiding head, and together they form the Supreme Council of Destiny on Paradise, currently led by Grandfanda during this universe age.

The gathering of these seven finaliter corps signifies the mobilization of potentials, personalities, minds, spirits, and experiential actualities that likely transcend even the future master universe functions of the Supreme Being. Their mobilization probably represents the preparation for developments in the outer universes of space. We forecast future greater outer universes of inhabited worlds that will be sublime material creations but lacking finite experiential evolution. Those who have acquired experience during the youth of our universe will treasure it throughout eternity, and it may be the mission of the ascendant mortals of the Corps of the Finality to administer these outer universes, compensating for their experiential deficiencies by bringing the wisdom gained through the evolution of the Supreme Being.
