These messenger hosts vary in nature and function but share a common purpose of facilitating universal administration through specialized service. They operate throughout the universe of universes, always subject to the direction of those who rule their assigned realms. Despite their diverse origins and functions, these beings collectively ensure the smooth functioning of the grand universe through their dedicated service and specialized abilities.

The Messenger Hosts of Space occupy an intermediate position in the family of the Infinite Spirit, serving as connecting links between higher personalities and ministering spirits. These versatile beings comprise seven different orders of celestial beings: Havona Servitals, Universal Conciliators, Technical Advisers, Custodians of Records on Paradise, Celestial Recorders, Morontia Companions, and Paradise Companions. They perform essential functions throughout the universe of universes.

According to their inherent nature and attained status, these messenger hosts serve in various capacities throughout the universes but always remain subject to the direction of those who rule the realms to which they are assigned. The Havona Servitals, though called servitals, are not servants in any menial sense, as no spiritual service is ever considered lowly. In the spiritual realm, all service is sacred and exhilarating, and higher orders never look down upon lower orders of existence. These servitals are the joint creative work of the Seven Master Spirits and the Seven Supreme Power Directors, representing one of the earliest examples of collaborative creation in the universe.

They appear in groups of one thousand, with three-quarters being spiritual in nature and one-quarter being semiphysical. Despite their designation as "Solitary Messengers," they genuinely enjoy working alone but can also fraternize with other beings. When assigned to the study worlds surrounding superuniverse headquarters, they serve as companions to ascending mortals, helping them understand the next stages of their journey. They develop a touching affection for Graduate Guides, and this relationship exemplifies the deep devotion that characterizes spiritual service throughout the universes.

For every Havona Servital created, seven Universal Conciliators come into being, one for each superuniverse. This creation involves a superuniverse technique of reflective response to transactions occurring on Paradise, particularly when the Master Spirits associate with the power directors to create servitals. When this happens, there is a simultaneous focusing upon one of the Reflective Spirits in each superuniverse, resulting in the appearance of conciliators.

Universal Conciliators work in groups of four, forming conciliating commissions composed of a Judge-Arbiter, a Spirit-Advocate, a Divine Executioner, and a Recorder. The Judge-Arbiter leads the commission and makes judicial decisions, while the Spirit-Advocate presents evidence and protects the rights of those involved. The Divine Executioner, a semimaterial being who is almost visible to mortal races, executes the commission's decisions. The Recorder keeps complete records of all proceedings. These commissions travel through space at triple seraphic velocity, serving as mobile courts that quickly settle minor difficulties throughout the realms.

Conciliators maintain group headquarters on their superuniverse capitals, with secondary reserves stationed on local universe capitals. The younger and less experienced commissioners begin their service on lower worlds like Urantia and advance to adjudicating greater problems after gaining more experience. These beings are utterly dependable, and not one has ever gone astray in their service to the universes.

They serve at seven progressive levels of universe administration: as conciliators to individual worlds, to system headquarters, to constellations, to local universes, to superuniverse minor sectors, to major sectors, and finally to the superuniverse itself. As they ascend through these levels, their role evolves from arbiters of differences to interpreters of mysteries and teachers. From simply resolving misunderstandings, they progress to explaining complex phenomena and helping ascending mortals understand the intricacies of universe administration. After extensive service, many conciliators are translated to Paradise and join a coordinating corps evolved by the Infinite Spirit for service throughout the universe of universes.

The Technical Advisers serve as the legal and technical experts of the spirit world, though they were not created as such. They originated when the Infinite Spirit selected one million of the most orderly minds from early supernaphim and omniaphim to form the nucleus of this vast and versatile group. Membership in this order requires actual experience in applying the laws of perfection to the plans of evolutionary creation, making their wisdom invaluable.

These advisers come from many sources, including supernaphim, seconaphim, tertiaphim, omniaphim, seraphim, and even certain types of ascending mortals and midwayers. They function both individually and in groups of seven, with each group containing at least five permanent members and two temporary associates. Their primary purpose is to prevent delays, facilitate progress, and counsel achievement. They know there is always a best way, a technique of perfection, and a divine method for accomplishing any task, and they help others find these optimal approaches to universe activities.

From among the tertiary supernaphim in Havona, certain senior chief recorders are chosen to serve as Custodians of Records on Paradise. These beings maintain the formal archives of the Isle of Light, which stand in contrast to the living records held in the minds of the custodians of knowledge, sometimes called the "living library of Paradise." They preserve the historical and cumulative records of the universe of universes.

Throughout all creation, two types of records are maintained: formal written records and living memory records. In local universes, written records predominate, while on Paradise, living records are more common. On Uversa, both are equally available. Every significant event is recorded appropriately, with matters of local importance receiving local recording and those of wider significance being posted to higher levels. Paradise maintains a relevant summary of superuniverse and Havona data, creating a historic and cumulative story of the entire universe of universes under the custody of these exalted tertiary supernaphim.

The Celestial Recorders create dual records of all proceedings—an original spirit recording and a semimaterial counterpart similar to a carbon copy. They possess a unique ability to simultaneously manipulate both spiritual and material energy, allowing them to create records accessible to all types of beings throughout the universe. Unlike other messenger hosts, Celestial Recorders are not created as such but are ascending seraphim from local universes.

These beings continue their system of dual recording as they advance through universal service, ensuring that all beings, from material creatures to high spirits of light, can access the records and history of their respective spheres. The recorders form a tested and trusted corps, and there has never been a case of defection or falsification among them. Once seraphim are mustered into this service, they remain permanently assigned as Celestial Recorders until the new and modified administration of the full personalization of God the Supreme. Their records are scrutinized by both their superiors from Uversa and by Mighty Messengers to ensure absolute accuracy.

Morontia Companions are the children of local universe Mother Spirits who serve as friends and associates to all beings experiencing the ascending morontia life. Though not essential to an ascender's progress, they function as gracious hosts to those beginning the long inward journey toward Paradise. Their primary role is to provide companionship and assist in organizing recreational activities with the help of reversion directors.

Despite the challenging and progressively difficult tasks on the morontia training worlds, ascenders are always provided with regular periods of rest and reversion. Throughout the entire journey to Paradise, there is always time for rest and spiritual recreation, just as in the career of light and life, there is always time for worship and new achievements. The Morontia Companions make these rest periods especially enjoyable, and when ascenders finally leave the morontia phase to embark on their superuniverse spirit adventure, they genuinely regret that these companionable creatures cannot accompany them further, as they serve exclusively within the local universes.

Paradise Companions form a composite group recruited from seraphim, seconaphim, supernaphim, and omniaphim. Unlike other messenger hosts, their service is temporary, and upon completion of their assignment, they typically return to their original duties. Angels are nominated for this service by local universe Mother Spirits, superuniverse Reflective Spirits, and Majeston of Paradise, then commissioned as Paradise Companions by one of the Seven Master Spirits.

These angels are dedicated to serving as companions to all beings who find themselves alone on Paradise, particularly ascending mortals. They welcome newly arrived beings as they awaken on the Isle of Light from the terminal sleep of time and escort them to their prepared accommodations. If an ascender should fail in some phase of the Deity adventure in Havona, a Paradise Companion follows them back to the realms of time to comfort and encourage them. Should one member of a pair of ascending mortals succeed while the other fails, the successful individual is not permitted to return with their companion—instead, a Paradise Companion volunteers to accompany the disappointed pilgrim, while a Paradise Citizen stays with the successful mortal until their reunion.
