Discover The Urantia Book \Papers\Intermediate \The Seven Supreme Spirit Groups
Seven Supreme Spirit groups carry out the work of the Infinite Spirit, coordinating celestial ministry. These diverse beings serve in worship, guidance, energy control, and spiritual progress across all levels of the universes.
Reading Level:
This Paper examines the seven Supreme Spirit groups, which collectively constitute the universal coordinating directors of the seven-segmented administration of the grand universe. These diverse spirit entities form a functional administrative chain that extends from the Paradise periphery to the evolutionary worlds of time and space. Three of these groups (Master Spirits, Supreme Executives, and Reflective Spirits) are classified as children of the Paradise Trinity, while the remaining four groups originate from the creative acts of the Infinite Spirit or his associates.
The Seven Master Spirits serve as the primary coordinating directors of this vast administrative realm, functioning both personally and through their numerous associates. Their influence reaches from Paradise to the most remote inhabited planets through a carefully orchestrated chain of spiritual beings. Together, these seven Supreme Spirit groups form the functional family of the Third Source and Center (the Infinite Spirit), bridging the gap between the eternal Isle of Paradise and the evolving worlds of time.
The seven Supreme Spirit groups are the universal coordinating directors of the seven-segmented administration of the grand universe. Three groups are classified as children of the Paradise Trinity: the Seven Master Spirits, the Seven Supreme Executives, and the Reflective Spirits. The remaining four groups originate from the creative activities of the Infinite Spirit or his creative associates.
These Supreme Spirit groups function from the personal presence of the Master Spirits on Paradise's periphery through all levels of administration down to the adjutant mind-spirits bestowed upon evolutionary worlds. The Seven Master Spirits coordinate this extensive administrative realm, working sometimes directly and sometimes through their associates. They don't directly contact universe administration below the Ancients of Days, and their influence on lower realms is maintained through other personalities like the Creative Mother Spirit in local universes.
The executive headquarters of the Master Spirits occupy seven Paradise satellites of the Infinite Spirit, which orbit between the shining spheres of the Eternal Son and the innermost Havona circuit. These executive spheres are directed by the Supreme Executives, a group of seven beings trinitized by the Father, Son, and Spirit according to the Master Spirits' specifications. They help determine the basic constitutive trends of the seven superuniverses.
The Supreme Executives function as administrative coordinators of the grand universe, a role sometimes described as the "board of managing directors" of the post-Havona creation. Each Executive manages affairs for one specific superuniverse from their Paradise satellite, which shares the name of its corresponding superuniverse. The seventh satellite is named Orvonton, as is the seventh superuniverse. The staff on each executive sphere handles personnel dispatch services and maintains central registries for all personalities created by the Third Source and Center who function in the superuniverses.
The Reflective Spirits originate from the divine Trinity, with fifty such beings in existence. Seven were created at a time, each creative episode involving the Paradise Trinity and one of the Seven Master Spirits. This creative transaction represented the Supreme Creator Personalities' initial effort to function as co-creators with the Paradise Trinity.
When the forty-ninth Reflective Spirit was personalized, a reaction occurred in the Deity Absolute that imparted new personality prerogatives to the Supreme Being and culminated in Majeston's personalization. Majeston functions as the reflectivity chief and Paradise center for the work of the forty-nine Reflective Spirits. He maintains permanent Paradise headquarters near the center of all things and is solely concerned with coordinating and maintaining the reflectivity service throughout the far-flung creation. This creation signalized the first supreme creative act of the Supreme Being.
The forty-nine Reflective Spirits have Trinity origins, but each of the seven creative episodes producing them resulted in beings resembling the characteristics of the co-ancestral Master Spirit. These Spirits reflect the natures of all possible combinations of the three Paradise Deities as they might appear in any part of the seven superuniverses. One of each type serves in each superuniverse to provide a complete spectrum of reflective capabilities.
Reflective Spirits are not merely transmitting agents but also retentive personalities who store information. Their offspring, the seconaphim, also function as record personalities. The reflectivity organization serves as both the news-gathering and decree-disseminating mechanism for all creation, operating constantly unlike the periodic functioning of various broadcast services. This system seems automatic but is actually highly personal and intelligent, resulting from perfect personality cooperation among the various orders of beings in the reflectivity service.
The forty-nine Reflective Image Aids were created by the Reflective Spirits, with each Spirit creating their own Aid. There are exactly seven Aids on the headquarters of each superuniverse. These Aids are perfect reproductions of their Reflective Mother Spirits in certain attributes and characteristics, essentially identical except they lack the attribute of reflectivity. They function as communication channels between the Reflective Spirits and superuniverse authorities.
The Reflective Spirits themselves, while true personalities, are of an order incomprehensible to material beings. Even at superuniverse headquarters, they require their Image Aids to interact with the Ancients of Days and their associates. Sometimes one Aid can handle a communication, while in other cases multiple Aids must work together depending on the content of the message. These Aids have many helper seconaphim but don't directly function with the training of ascending mortals.
The Seven Spirits of the Havona Circuits represent the Infinite Spirit and the Seven Master Spirits to the seven circuits of the central universe. They serve as the Master Spirits' agents, whose collective offspring they are. Through these uniform Spirits, the Master Spirits provide unified and coordinated spiritual supervision for the central universe. Each Spirit is limited to one specific Havona circuit.
These Spirits interact with Havona visitors through their personal offspring, the tertiary supernaphim. Their importance in creating these supernaphim increased significantly when the first pilgrims of time arrived on the outer circuit of Havona. As pilgrims advance through Havona's circuits, they become aware of these Spirits' influence but cannot have personal communion with them. The Circuit Spirits relate to Havona natives much as Thought Adjusters relate to mortal creatures, functioning as impersonal spiritual presences.
This section describes the nature and function of the local universe Creative Spirits who work with Creator Sons to organize and manage the local creations. These remarkable beings go through at least six distinct phases of career development, with a possible seventh phase that remains unrevealed. Their career progression begins with their initial differentiation in Paradise and continues through their preliminary creator training.
In the physical creation stage, they are committed to the Creator Son and begin universe creation work. During the life-creation era, they undergo "personalization ceremonies" and become actual personalities. After the Creator Son completes his seventh bestowal and gains full sovereignty, he elevates the Creative Spirit to co-sovereign status. During the ages of light and life, they enter a sixth phase of development. A seventh career phase is speculated to exist but has not been revealed.
These adjutant spirits are the sevenfold mind bestowal that a local universe Mother Spirit gives to the living creatures created jointly by a Creator Son and Creative Spirit. This mind bestowal becomes possible when the Spirit achieves personality status. These mind-spirits are essential for the evolution of intelligent life on the material planets.
The adjutant mind-spirits help bridge the gap between purely material existence and spiritual awareness in evolutionary creatures. Their nature and functioning are more appropriately detailed in the narratives about the local universe of Nebadon. They represent the Mother Spirit's personal ministry to the material minds of the realm.
The seven Supreme Spirit groups form the functional family core of the Third Source and Center. Their domain extends from the Trinity's presence on Paradise to the functioning of mind in evolutionary mortals on space worlds. They unify the administrative levels and coordinate the functions of their diverse personnel. Whether as Reflective Spirits working with the Ancients of Days or as Creative Spirits working with a Michael Son, their activity exists throughout all universe levels.
Together with the Infinite Mother Spirit, these groups create the vast family of ministering spirits serving throughout the universes. The Seven Master Spirits coordinate the inhabited creation in various ways: they nearly equivalate to the Paradise Trinity's divinity level, they exhaust the primary associable possibilities of triune Deity, they hold the spirit-mind-power sovereignty of the Supreme Being, they synchronize superuniverse governments with universal reflectivity, and they contribute to the Creator Son-Creative Spirit union in local universes.
