The Central and Divine Universe
  • Summary

The central and divine universe, known as Havona, exists as the eternal core of all creation, with Paradise at its heart and one billion worlds of perfection arranged in seven concentric circuits. This perfect universe was not created through evolutionary processes but exists as a complete and fully formed creation that serves as the pattern of divine completeness for all other universes. The physical constitution, governmental structure, and inhabitants of Havona reflect a level of perfection that stands as both the model and ultimate destination for all ascending creatures from the evolutionary worlds.

Havona serves multiple essential functions in the grand universe, providing unique benefits to seven orders of universe intelligence—from the Universal Father to evolving mortals. These functions include providing divine satisfaction for the Paradise Deities, serving as an administrative center for universe governance, training ascending mortals and various spiritual personalities, and standing as the eternal evidence of the possibility of achieving perfection. The central universe represents both the starting point of creation and the ultimate destination for all who seek to find God.

  • Introduction

The perfect and divine universe exists at the absolute center of all creation, serving as the eternal core around which the vast creations of time and space revolve. Paradise sits at the very heart of this magnificent universe, surrounded by the billion spheres of Havona arranged in concentric circuits, all far distant from our local universe of Nebadon. These central worlds are of enormous dimensions and unimaginable mass, possessing a beauty and grandeur that exceed human comprehension.

This central aggregation of worlds stands unique as the only settled, perfect, and established collection of spheres in existence. Unlike the evolutionary universes that surround it, Havona was not developed over time but was created in complete perfection. It serves as the eternal core and pattern universe against which all other creations are measured—the ideal of divine completeness, supreme finality, and ultimate reality. The surrounding evolutionary universes represent ongoing experiments by the Creator Sons to reproduce this pattern of perfection throughout time and space.

  • 1. The Paradise-Havona System

From the edge of Paradise to the inner borders of the seven superuniverses, there exist seven distinct space conditions and motions that define the central creation. These include zones of quiescent midspace near Paradise, the clockwise movement of Paradise and Havona circuits, several semiquiet space zones, and two belts of dark gravity bodies that revolve in opposite directions around Paradise. These structures work together to maintain perfect balance in the central universe.

The billion worlds of Havona are organized into seven concentric circuits immediately surrounding the three circuits of Paradise satellites. The innermost Havona circuit contains more than 35 million worlds, while the outermost has over 245 million, with proportionate numbers in between. Each circuit differs from the others but is perfectly balanced and pervaded by a specialized representation of the Infinite Spirit. Time is measured differently in Havona, with the Paradise-Havona standard day equaling nearly one thousand Urantia years. Enormous dark gravity bodies completely encircle and enshroud Havona, helping to stabilize the entire central creation through their counterbalancing rotations.

  • 2. Constitution of Havona

Spirit beings do not live in nebulous space or ethereal realms but reside on actual material spheres. The Havona worlds are literal and real, though their physical substance differs fundamentally from the material organization of evolutionary planets. The energies of Havona are threefold in nature, contrasting with the twofold energy-matter of the superuniverses, reflecting the threefold creation of the Trinity versus the twofold creation of local universes.

The material constitution of Havona consists of exactly one thousand basic chemical elements and seven forms of energy, each with seven phases of excitation. This gives Havona natives forty-nine different forms of sensation, compared to the seventy morontia senses and even more varied spiritual responses. A Urantia mortal transported to Havona would be effectively blind and deaf, lacking the sensory equipment to perceive this environment. The entire central universe operates on the threefold system of perfect and symmetrical control, with a perfect balance maintained between all cosmic realities and spiritual forces, rendering the entire system stable and predictable except in matters of mind and personality.

  • 3. The Havona Worlds

The central universe requires no formal government because its inhabitants are beings of native perfection or thoroughly tested ascenders. There are no courts, legislative assemblies, or other governmental structures because such perfect intelligences have no need for external regulation. This demonstrates the height of true self-government—beings who naturally act in harmony with divine principles.

Administration of Havona is vested in the resident Eternals of Days, with one of these Trinity-origin personalities directing each sphere. Though not creators, they are perfect administrators who teach and guide their planetary children with supreme skill. The billion spheres serve dual purposes: they are training worlds for high personalities native to Paradise and Havona, and they function as the final proving grounds for ascending creatures from evolutionary worlds. Only about one percent of the planetary capacity is currently utilized for the Father's universal plan of mortal ascension. These worlds are constructed differently from evolutionary planets, utilizing antigravity and perfectly balanced physical forces, resulting in spheres of matchless beauty with real rivers, lakes, and other natural features.

  • 4. Creatures of the Central Universe

There are seven basic forms of living beings and beings in the Havona worlds, with each form existing in three distinct phases. Each phase divides into seventy major divisions, and each major division contains one thousand minor divisions with further subdivisions. These seven basic life groups can be classified as: material, morontial, spiritual, absonite, ultimate, coabsolute, and absolute. Unlike on evolutionary worlds, decay and death are not part of life in Havona.

The Havona natives are all direct offspring of the Paradise Trinity, having neither creature parents nor reproductive abilities. They live and function on the billion worlds of the central universe much as other permanent citizens dwell on their native spheres. These beings could be considered "material" in the sense that they interact with the physical realities of the divine universe. Havoners have their own unique lives with significance independent of Paradise or the superuniverses. While mortals strive to do God's will, these beings naturally embody the will of God and express the divine ideals of beauty and truth. They have their own progression path that includes movement between circuits and advancement within individual worlds.

  • 5. Life in Havona

The journey to Paradise involves many stages: a short material life on planets like Urantia, progression through morontia phases in the local universe system, constellation, and universe, followed by true spirit stages in the superuniverse, and finally intellectual, spiritual, and experiential attainment on the seven Havona circuits. Each world in each circuit presents specific tasks that must be accomplished on the journey toward Paradise.

Life in the central universe transcends human conceptualization, being entirely unlike the social and economic activities of material creatures on evolutionary worlds. Even thought processes differ fundamentally from those on Urantia. The regulations governing Havona existence are natural rather than arbitrary, embodying inherent righteousness and justice—what on Urantia would be called fairness. Newly arrived beings start on the outermost seventh circuit and progressively move inward as they achieve higher spiritual understanding, ultimately reaching the first circuit before passing to Paradise itself. Each circuit corresponds to specific spiritual attainments, such as recognizing the Master Spirit of their superuniverse, attaining Supremacy, the Infinite Spirit, the Eternal Son, and finally the Universal Father. Throughout this journey, ascending pilgrims experience endless novelty and adventure, which continues to stimulate their curiosity and spiritual growth.

  • 6. The Purpose of the Central Universe

The activities of the seven-circuited Havona can be broadly categorized as: Havonal (serving the needs of Havona itself), Paradisiacal (serving Paradise functions), and ascendant-finite (supporting Supreme-Ultimate evolution). The central universe also encompasses many superfinite activities involving absonite and other mind and spirit functions beyond created comprehension. Havona ministers to the needs and contributes to the satisfactions of seven orders of universe intelligence.

For the Universal Father, Havona provides supreme parental satisfaction through the perfection of its creation and the adoration of perfect creatures. The Eternal Son finds in Havona proof of the divine family's effectiveness and an arena for demonstrating spiritual power and bestowal ministry. The Infinite Spirit uses Havona as a mind laboratory and training ground for spirit ministry. The Supreme Being finds in Havona the proof of his spiritual reality and the pattern for his universality potential. Creator Sons use Havona as an educational training ground and pattern for their own universe creations. The Ministering Daughters (Universe Mother Spirits) receive pre-personal training in Havona before co-creating local universes. Finally, for evolving mortals, Havona serves as the pre-Paradise training goal and the starting place for their eternal careers as finaliters, potentially extending into future ages of universal service on superfinite levels.
