Paper 6 Overview: The Eternal Son

The Eternal Son is the perfect expression of God the Father's first personal concept. He is both a spiritual personality and the complete revelation of the Father's spirit. The Son is equal to the Father in all spiritual ways and helps reveal the Father's nature to all beings.

The Eternal Son works with the Father in creating the universe and guiding spiritual beings. He is the center of all spirit power and has a special role in showing mercy and love throughout the universe. He helps all creatures who are trying to find and reach the Universal Father.

The Eternal Son is the perfect and final expression of the Universal Father's first personal concept. When the Father expresses himself, he does so through the Eternal Son, who is the living divine Word. The Son lives at the center of all things, right next to the Father.

We speak about God's "first" thought and the "beginning" of the Eternal Son to help human minds understand. In reality, the Father never had a first thought, and the Son never had a beginning. Both have always existed. The Son reveals the Father's identity as the source of all spiritual reality and personality.

The Eternal Son is the original and only-begotten Son of God. He is the Second Person of Deity and helps create all things. Just as the Father is the First Great Source and Center, the Son is the Second Great Source and Center.

The Eternal Son manages the spiritual government of the universe. The Father is first a creator and then a controller, while the Son is first a co-creator and then a spiritual administrator. The Father never creates alone but always works with the Son. The Son is known by different names in different parts of the universe.

The Eternal Son is just as unchanging and dependable as the Universal Father. He is also just as spiritual as the Father and is truly unlimited spirit. The Son seems more personal to humans because he is one step closer to us than the Father.

The Eternal Son is the eternal Word of God and is exactly like the Father. When we worship the Father, we also worship the Son and the Spirit. The Son shares all the Father's perfect qualities and helps imperfect beings in their spiritual growth. The Son and Father share their divine spirit with the Infinite Spirit.

The Son shares the justice and fairness of the Trinity but especially shows the Father's love and mercy. The Son reveals divine love to the universes. While the Son cannot love more than the Father, he can show mercy in one additional way because he is both a creator like the Father and also the Father's Son.

The Eternal Son is the great mercy minister to all creation. Mercy is the core of the Son's spiritual character. To understand the Son's love, you must first see its source in the Father's love, and then see how it unfolds through the Infinite Spirit's ministry. The Son's ministry shows the God of love to all universes.

The Eternal Son controls the spirit level of cosmic reality. His spiritual power is absolute over all spirit energy and reality. All pure spirit and spiritual beings respond to the pulling power of the Son. Even if an unlimited universe should appear in the future, the Son's spirit power would be enough to control it.

The Son is all-powerful only in the spiritual realm. In the universe, the Deities do not repeat each other's work. The Son is present everywhere spiritually, creating unity in the universe. The Father's spiritual presence is hard to separate from the Son's. The Son is all-knowing like the Father and shares all his wisdom.

The Eternal Son does not work directly in physical domains or in mind ministry to beings. These limitations do not restrict his use of his divine powers of spiritual all-knowing, all-presence, and all-power. The Son's personal spirit surrounds you, working with the Father for your spiritual progress.

The Son doesn't personally control the spirit potentials in the Deity Absolute, but as they become real, they come under his spirit-gravity control. Only the Father gives personality, though the Son can help create personalities with the Father or the Conjoint Creator. The Son can create all types of non-personal reality.

The Eternal Son has spirit and mind, but not a kind that mortal humans can understand. Humans see mind working at finite, cosmic, material, and personal levels. It is hard for humans to grasp mind when it works with super-material beings and spirit personalities.

Spirit is always conscious, minded, and has identity. Without some form of mind, there would be no spiritual awareness among spirit beings. Deity may be personal or impersonal, but it is never mindless. The Son's mind is like the Father's but different from all other minds in the universe.

The Eternal Son is the infinite personality from which the Universal Father escaped by the technique of trinitization. The Father continues to give himself to his expanding universe of creators and creatures. Every personal being gets personality from the Father, just as the Son eternally gets his personality from the Father.

The Son's personality is absolute and purely spiritual. This absolute personality is the pattern for the Father's giving of personality to the Conjoint Actor and to countless creatures. The Son is truly a merciful minister, a divine spirit, a spiritual power, and a real personality. The Son represents the essence of the Father, without anything non-personal or non-spiritual.

The Eternal Son equals the Universal Father in identity, nature, and personality attributes. The Son is the perfect counterpart of the Father. In one sense, the Son is the Universal Mother, and all beings, high and low, are part of their universal family.

To understand the Son's character, study the Father's divine character. They are forever one. As divine personalities, they are hard to tell apart, especially for lower intelligent beings. In the local universe, their relationship is shown in the Creator Son, who represents both Father and Son to beings on millions of worlds. With help from celestial guides, humans can eventually reach Paradise and meet this majestic Son.
