Discover The Urantia Book \Papers\Easy \The Planetary Adams
Planetary Adams and Eves are biologic uplifters sent to advance human genetics and culture. Their success depends on cooperation, offering accelerated development toward spiritual, intellectual, and physical progress.
Reading Level:

The Planetary Adams are special beings who help improve life on evolving worlds. They come as a pair - Adam and Eve - and are sent after the Planetary Prince has prepared the planet. They bring important biological improvements to the races of a world and establish special garden homes to help worlds grow in culture and civilization.
The Material Sons and Daughters (Adams and Eves) can breed with the planet's people to make them better biologically. On Urantia, the mission of Adam and Eve did not go as planned, but they still helped the world improve. They create a family atmosphere and teach people better ways to live together.
When a planet reaches its highest natural point of development, the System Sovereign sends a Material Son and Daughter (Adam and Eve) to help improve the people. These beings are a gift from the Creator Son and stay on the planet throughout its development. On normal worlds, this is not dangerous, but on rebellious planets like Urantia, it can be risky.
Adam and Eve's mission on Urantia did not go exactly as planned, but it still helped the world greatly. The planet benefited from their genetic contribution, and though their plan wasn't perfect, they are still respected by higher beings. Their work is not considered a complete failure.
The Material Sons and Daughters are created by the Creator Son without help from the Universe Mother Spirit. They are meant to improve life on evolving worlds. Each local system has only one original pair of Material Sons, and they are made to match the life pattern of their system.
Material Sons are between eight and ten feet tall with glowing violet-colored bodies. They can eat both physical food and cosmic energy. If they rebel, they become mortal and can die. They are visible to humans and can have children with them, which is how they improve the planet's biology.
When a world reaches physical maturity, the System Sovereign calls together the Material Sons and Daughters. Two volunteers are chosen to go to the new world. They must go through a special sleep process to be transported by seraphim to their assignment.
The transport takes about three days, and when they arrive, Life Carriers help restore them to normal existence. Once on the planet, the Material Sons stand ready to begin their important work. They cannot easily be taken away from the planet unless there is an emergency evacuation of the entire population.
On inhabited worlds, the Material Sons build garden homes with help from their children and native races. The site is usually chosen by the Planetary Prince. These gardens are named after Edentia, the constellation capital, and are located in secluded, tropical areas.
Adam and Eve's main job is to multiply and improve the people of the planet. They stay separate from the world's people at first while building up their own violet race. On Urantia, Adam and Eve were tricked by Caligastia, the rebellious Planetary Prince, into breaking their trust, though they did not join the Lucifer rebellion.
The red race is usually the first to develop on inhabited worlds. The Life Carriers give their full energy to the red race, while each later race varies from this original pattern. Heights tend to decrease from the red race down to the indigo race.
On worlds with all six races, the superior ones are the red, yellow, and blue races. The second, fourth, and sixth races (orange, green, and indigo) are less gifted. On Urantia, much of the superior blue race was lost, which is unfortunate. All races are meant to mix with the violet race (Adam's offspring) to improve the planet's biology.
When a Planetary Adam and Eve arrive on a world, they are taught how to help improve the existing races. Their plan is not always the same for each planet, and mistakes can happen, especially on troubled worlds like Urantia.
Usually, the violet people wait until their numbers reach over one million before mixing with local populations. Selected superior individuals from the evolutionary races are brought to the Garden to mate with Adam's children. This mixing greatly speeds up civilization and racial development, helping a world progress more in 100,000 years than it would in a million years without this help.
On most inhabited worlds, the Gardens of Eden remain important cultural centers that influence planetary conduct. The violet race's home becomes the second center of world culture after the Planetary Prince's headquarters. Together, these two centers guide civilization.
The Planetary Prince's schools focus on philosophy, religion, and intellectual achievements. The Adamic schools teach practical arts, basic education, social culture, and government. Eventually these centers join together, but this sometimes takes until the time of the first Magisterial Son.
From time to time, Avonal Sons from Paradise visit inhabited worlds. The first Avonal to arrive on a magisterial mission begins the fourth dispensation of an evolutionary world. Some planets have all three rulers at once: the Planetary Prince, the Material Son, and the Magisterial Son.
Before the first Magisterial Son completes his mission on a normal evolutionary world, the Planetary Prince and Material Son join their educational and administrative work. After the Magisterial Son leaves, Adam and Eve jointly administer the planet until it reaches the era of light and life, when the Planetary Prince becomes the Planetary Sovereign.
