Paper 25 Overview: The Messenger Hosts of Space

The Messenger Hosts of Space are important spirit beings who connect higher personalities with ministering spirits. They include seven different groups: Havona Servitals, Universal Conciliators, Technical Advisers, Custodians of Records on Paradise, Celestial Recorders, Morontia Companions, and Paradise Companions. These messengers help the universe run smoothly by providing different services throughout all creation.

Only three of these groups—Havona Servitals, Universal Conciliators, and Morontia Companions—were created as they are now. The other four groups represent achievement levels of angelic orders. All seven groups serve throughout the universe under the direction of those who govern the realms where they work.

The Messenger Hosts of Space work between the higher personalities of the Infinite Spirit and the ministering spirits of time. These versatile beings connect different types of spiritual beings. The messenger hosts include seven different kinds of celestial beings.

Of these seven groups, only three—servitals, conciliators, and Morontia Companions—were created as they are. The other four groups represent advancement levels of angelic orders. According to their nature and status, the messenger hosts serve throughout the universes but always under the direction of those who rule their assigned realms.

The Havona Servitals are not servants in any lowly sense, as there is no menial work in the spiritual world. All service is sacred and uplifting, and higher beings do not look down on lower orders. These servitals are the creative work of the Seven Master Spirits and the Seven Supreme Power Directors.

New servitals appear in groups of one thousand, with one-fourth being more physical in nature than the others. They work throughout creation and especially enjoy serving with Graduate Guides, developing strong devotion to each other. They serve where needed and help those who are ascending through the universes.

For every Havona Servital created, seven Universal Conciliators come into being, one for each superuniverse. Their creation involves a special technique of reflective response to events happening on Paradise. They are created when the Master Spirits work with power directors to create servitals.

Conciliators work in groups of four: a Judge-Arbiter, a Spirit-Advocate, a Divine Executioner, and a Recorder. They travel throughout space helping to resolve problems and misunderstandings that arise between different beings. Their decisions are final, and there is no appeal from their rulings.

Conciliators maintain headquarters on their superuniverse capital with reserves stationed on local universe capitals. They begin their service on lower worlds like Urantia and advance to handling greater problems as they gain experience. They are completely reliable, and not one has ever gone astray.

These beings serve at various levels: on individual worlds, at system headquarters, in constellations, in local universes, in superuniverse minor sectors, in major sectors, and at the superuniverse level. As they advance, they evolve from arbiters of differences to interpreters of mysteries and teachers who help the ascending pilgrims understand universal administration.

Technical Advisers are the legal and technical experts of the spirit world. They were not created as such but began as one million of the most orderly minds chosen from early supernaphim and omniaphim by the Infinite Spirit. They have gained actual experience in applying the laws of perfection to evolutionary creation.

These advisers are recruited from many different types of beings, including certain ascending mortals and midwayers. They function both individually and in groups of seven and help prevent delays, facilitate progress, and provide achievement counseling. They know the best and right way to do things and can direct others in finding the divine method.

From among the tertiary supernaphim in Havona, certain senior chief recorders are chosen as Custodians of Records. They keep the formal archives of the Isle of Light, which are different from the living records stored in the minds of the "living library of Paradise." They are responsible for Paradise's historical information.

Throughout the universes, both written records and living records are used. In local universes, there are more written records and fewer living ones. On Paradise, there are more living records and fewer formal ones. On Uversa, both types are equally available for access.

Celestial Recorders make two copies of all records—an original spirit recording and a semi-material counterpart like a carbon copy. They can do this because they can work with both spiritual and material energy at the same time. They are not created as recorders but are ascending seraphim from local universes.

These recorders continue their system of dual recording as they advance in service. This means that all beings, from material creatures to high spirits of light, can access records. The recorders are trustworthy, and no falsification has ever been found in their records. They serve permanently once assigned to this role.

Morontia Companions are children of the local universe Mother Spirits. They are friends and associates of those living the ascending morontia life. They are not essential to an ascender's progress but serve as gracious hosts to those just beginning their inward journey to Paradise.

These companions help provide regular seasons of rest and enjoyment during the difficult morontia training. Throughout the journey to Paradise, there is always time for rest and spiritual play. When ascenders finally leave the morontia experience to start their spirit adventure, they will miss these friendly associates who serve only in local universes.

Paradise Companions come from various angelic hosts including seraphim, seconaphim, supernaphim, and omniaphim. Their service is temporary, and when finished, they usually return to their original duties. Angels are nominated for this special service by various spiritual authorities and commissioned by one of the Seven Master Spirits.

These angels serve anyone who is alone on Paradise, especially ascending mortals. They welcome new arrivals to Paradise and stay with them until they are joined by their associates or until they enter the Corps of the Finality. If an ascending pilgrim fails in some part of their Paradise adventure, a Paradise Companion follows them back to help comfort and encourage them.
