Discover The Urantia Book \Papers\Easy \The Universe of Universes
The universe of universes is vast, orderly, and evolving. It is upheld by God’s will, structured by spirit and energy, and designed to unify matter, mind, and spirit into divine purpose.
Reading Level:

The Universe of Universes is beyond human imagination in its vastness. Our human minds can learn about the organization of the universes and the beings who live there, even though we cannot fully grasp the total creation. The physical universe may seem limitless to us, but it does have boundaries and is organized according to divine plans.
The paper explores how space, time, and gravity work throughout the universes. It describes the different levels of space and the central universe called Havona that surrounds Paradise. The paper also explains how matter, mind, and spirit relate to each other and how personality connects to all three.
The immensity of the Universal Father's creation is too vast for human minds to grasp fully. Despite this limitation, we can learn about how the universes are arranged and the many types of beings who inhabit them. This understanding helps us see our place in the larger system.
In concept, material creation is potentially infinite because the Universal Father is infinite. However, at any given moment, the material universe is limited in actual size. Much of the cosmic potential is still unrevealed, and creation is still in progress, with much more to unfold.
The universe of universes has definite dimensions and is organized as a space unit with physical laws. All forms of energy follow curved paths around space levels because of Paradise gravity, rather than shooting off in straight lines into empty space.
The master universe exists in six concentric ellipses around Paradise: the central universe Havona, the seven Superuniverses, and four Outer Space Levels. Havona is an eternal creation of one billion perfect spheres, while the Grand Universe consists of Havona plus the seven evolving superuniverses with potential for seven trillion inhabited planets.
When astronomers look into outer space, they are seeing the development of countless physical universes. These vast energy manifestations in outer space are generally considered to be the domains of the Unqualified Absolute.
Human telescopes can reveal millions of galaxies beyond our superuniverse of Orvonton. In the future, more powerful telescopes will reveal 375 million new galaxies in outer space. No humans or angels exist in these outer regions, which are beyond the administration of the superuniverse governments.
All forms of energy—material, mindal, and spiritual—respond to gravity. Personality also responds to the Father's exclusive circuit. Four absolute-gravity circuits operate in the master universe: the Personality Gravity of the Father, Spirit Gravity of the Son, Mind Gravity of the Conjoint Actor, and Cosmic Gravity of Paradise.
Studies on Uversa show that only 5% of Paradise's physical gravity is currently controlling the grand universe, suggesting 95% is engaged with systems beyond current organized universes. Almost all spirit gravity functions within the grand universe, while about 85% of mind gravity operates there, suggesting some mind activities in outer space.
All cosmic energy units are in motion, revolving along the endless circuits of the master universe. Only the center of Havona, the Isle of Paradise, remains stationary as the center of gravity.
Space itself moves in several ways: through space respiration (breathing in and out), through the directional movements of different space levels, and through other relative motions. The seven superuniverses participate in two-billion-year cycles of space respiration along with the outer regions of the universe.
Time comes from motion and our minds are aware of sequences of events. Space and time work together in the seven superuniverses, but Paradise exists beyond time and space. There are different levels of time awareness based on mind, spirit, and personality.
Unspiritual animals know only the past and live in the present. Spirit-filled humans can see into the future and have insight. True morality and ethics are dynamic and progressive, not static. The human personality can cause events to happen, not just experience them.
Stability in the universe comes not from inertia but from balanced energies, cooperative minds, and spirit overcontrol. The Universal Father controls the physical universe through Paradise. The Father and Son together control the spiritual realm through the Conjoint Actor.
The universe is predictable in terms of quantity and gravity measurements, but not as predictable in terms of quality or new combinations of physical, mental, and spiritual forces. When matter, mind, and spirit are unified in a personality, free will makes predictability even more difficult.
An impersonal law operates throughout all time and space, like a cosmic providence. God shows mercy to individuals but treats the whole universe with impartiality. God's laws are not arbitrary but represent the best way to do things in each circumstance.
God loves each person as a unique, irreplaceable child. This individualizing love creates the divine family of all beings. Brotherhood is a universal relationship that affects everyone—the good or bad actions of each person affect all others. Though God dwells on Paradise, his divine presence also lives within the minds of humans.
God is spirit, but Paradise is not. Spirit beings work and live on physical planets in the material universe. All physical force-energy comes from Paradise, and matter throughout the universe responds to Paradise gravity.
Mind connects spirit and matter. The goal of all personal existence is spirit, with matter and mind being relative. In personal experience, the three realities of matter, mind, and spirit are equally real but not equally valuable for achieving divinity.
Spirit is the basic personal reality in the universes. Personality is fundamental to experiencing spiritual reality. Love is the secret to beneficial relationships between personalities. You cannot fully know someone from just one meeting.
Mathematics and material science are essential for discussing the physical universe but cannot predict or explain everything. For example, water's ability to extinguish fire cannot be predicted just by analyzing its components. The human mind is a personal-energy system functioning around a divine spirit center, creating the potential for eternal personality.
