Paper 117 Overview: God the Supreme

The Supreme Being is growing through the experiences of all creatures in the universe. When we follow God's will, we help the Supreme grow toward completion. The Supreme is the highest level of Deity that finite creatures like humans can understand and experience.

God the Supreme brings together the experiences of all creatures and Creators in the universes. He grows as we grow and learn. As creatures, we can participate in the evolution of the Supreme through our choices to serve others and seek God.

Following God's will helps the almighty Supreme become more real in the universe. If all creatures in the grand universe lived according to God's will, the time-space creations would be settled in light and life. The Supreme would then become actual through the emergence of his divine personality.

When a mind becomes connected with cosmic mind, when a universe becomes stable like the central universe, and when a mortal aligns with their indwelling Thought Adjuster, the Supreme becomes more real. The parts and individuals of the grand universe evolve as the Supreme evolves, and the Supreme reflects the total evolution of all creation.

The Supreme is the beauty of harmony, the truth of meaning, and the goodness of value. He is the consciousness of the finite cosmos and the completion of finite reality. Throughout future eternity, God the Supreme will express the reality of all experiences in the trinity relationships of Deity.

In the Supreme Being, Creator and creature are united in one Deity. The Supreme's evolving divine nature shows the experiences of all creatures and all Creators in the grand universe. In the Supreme, creatorship and creaturehood are united forever by the experiences gained in solving the problems of finite creation.

The Supreme is God-in-time. He holds the secret of creature growth in time and the conquest of the incomplete present. The final result of all finite growth is power controlled through mind by spirit because of personality.

Growth that characterizes creature existence in the present universe age is a function of the Supreme. This kind of growth will end when the Supreme completes his own growth. Some creatures, like the Trinity-embraced sons, do not participate in this growth process. However, mortals who may reach Paradise and finaliter status are participants in the growth of the Supreme.

The Supreme Being is the complex synthesis of all phases of finite reality. He is the sum total of all finite growth, fully realized on deity levels of finite maximum completion. The Supreme is the divine channel through which flows the creative infinity that forms the universe panorama.

Jesus is the living way from the self to God, and the Supreme is the living way from finite consciousness to transcendence. The Creator Son functions as a living channel from humanity to divinity. Similarly, the Supreme functions as the universe approach to transcending finite limitations, as the actual embodiment of all creature evolution.

The Supreme Being is finite Deity, coping with the problems of the finite universe. Our struggles with time and space reflect his efforts to achieve self-realization and complete sovereignty. Throughout the grand universe, the Supreme struggles for expression.

When a human chooses eternal survival, they help create destiny. The Supreme finds increased self-realization and sovereignty through these choices. If someone rejects eternal life, that part of the Supreme dependent on that choice experiences delay. The human personality may destroy itself as an individual creature, but what was worthwhile in their life will continue as part of the Supreme.

The Supreme is the cosmic oversoul of the grand universe. In him, all qualities of the cosmos are reflected. He is an actualizing Deity with a creative will that embraces a universe purpose. When creatures submit to the Creator's will, they don't lose their personality.

The progressing personality leaves a trail of reality as it passes through the universes. When man acts, the Supreme reacts, and this creates progression. Man never possesses the circuits of energy, mind, and spirit as part of his personality. These ministries remain part of Supremacy, and the consequences of man's decisions are transmitted through these circuits to the Supreme.

We seek the Supreme in the universes but cannot find him completely. He is "the form of the yet unformed, the pattern of the yet uncreated." The Supreme is your universe home, and finding him will be like returning home. He knows you because he is both creaturelike and creatorlike.

If you truly desire to find God, the Supreme will be in your consciousness. The Supreme is like a divine Mother, nurturing universe creatures. There are three ways to approach the Supreme: for Paradise Citizens descending through Havona, for time-space ascenders coming up from evolutionary universes, and for Havona natives through contacts with both groups.

When all finite potentials are realized, the Supreme will emerge as an almighty Deity presence in the universes. He will be as personalized as the Eternal Son, as powerized as Paradise, and as unified as the Conjoint Actor. All of this will be within the limitations of finite possibilities at the end of the present universe age.

Men do not find the Supreme suddenly, but slowly and patiently, like a river wearing away soil. When you find the Father, you discover the great cause of your spiritual journey. When you find the Supreme, you discover the great result of your Paradise progression. No God-knowing mortal is ever lonely, for the Father walks beside them, and the very path they travel is the presence of the Supreme.
